Tipping Scales

You notice a small pile of stones that seems to be swaying in the breeze, upon closer inspection he sees that there is one rock balanced on top of another, with little piles of smaller rocks placed on either end.  
In a flash you stand before a great bone scale, the size of a four story building.  There is a whisper in your ear.
“My servant, you have to stop the release of the four.  It will unbalance the universe.  The key to the prison is time.  This stone senses the imbalance of the Dead Gods, use it to stop their machinations.”
“If the Four are released…” you see four great stones break from the earth and float near the scale.  On one side the world rested, and as the first stone settles on the other side, the world starts to crack.  As the second and third black stone join their brothers, the earth is battered and scarred.  When the last stone, the largest of them all touches the scale, the earth darkens and crumbles.
You are looking at the stone pile again, and the stone that is balancing gleams with an unearthly light.
